Coconuts on a warm Philippines Beach named 7 Commando Beach, at El Nido looking south. The town is left over the big karst headland. I've burned in the hot white sand a bit. It was very windy when this was taken.

There is a whole grove of coconut palms a few metres inland, away from the beach, and an enterprising Filipino has set up a stall, where you can ask for a fresh green coconut & he will slice it with a machete, & provide a straw. A very refreshing drink after snorkeling over the coral & sunbaking on the hot beach.

Hi Chris,

The distance between the beach and the mountains is giving depth to the composition. The trees and the cliff are framing well the beach. The point of view is showing the details and colors of the beach and of the sea. The afternoon light is enhancing the colors. Have a nice day.

HI Chris,
Another fine capture of a splendid beach with coconuts spread on the sand and rendering a considerable DOF into the perspective.
A very sharp image and perfect lighting. I like the fading away of the horizon and the turquoise sea.
Well done,

Francis Xavier

Cliffs like these are not very common in the islands I grow up in, those cliffs are beautiful. The water look so invitingly warm as I know they are. Nice capture of the scene. Very well done, tfs.

Hi Chris
A lovely beach site captured with good DOF and lovely weather condition specially the cool color of the water so amazing.

I like the shots you have presented from the beaches, and this one is another nice contribution to TL, Chris!

Good use of natural light though the white sand is bit burnt but overall the picture has its own charm.
The colors of the water are refreshing and eye-catching.
Well done!

Kind regards,
Paras

Hello Chris :)

Beautiful this corner with water about the marvellous colour and rock covered green vegetation,
and coconuts lyings on sand invite us to their gathering.
The splendid contrast of colours, the the whole looks very flashily.
I like him.

My best wishes.
Barbara.

Hello Chris, the cliffs covered in vegetation inform us that we are somewhere quite exotic!I cannot think of more temperate countries where we would see this sight.
A pleasant composition with the triangle of sea coming almost right across the shot.
Lots of coconuts, hence the title, with the inclusion of the tree where the nuts come from.
The people in the distance give us an indication of the scale of everything.I like the view of the distant isles on the horizon.
I would imagine that there is a danger of overexposure here; you managed the light very well.
Tfs, regards Jean.

Hi Chris,
Lovely scene. This morning it was -6C here and gloomy. Looks like some one had a nice beach party here. The krast mountains look like Puket Island in Thailand. On eof these days, I am going to get to these places for sure.

Its difficult not to avoid envy (one of those capital sins)when you keep posting shots of such beautiful locations :-)
Lovely contrasts with your pov ie for me the people and the islands compete for my attention. As do the coconuts (?) and headland. Great holiday ad. TFS
