The sculpture at left reminded me of the Sphinx in Egypt, no doubt but it is white stone and that are the yellow stone, TFS.

Hello Chris
In fact, they are sculptures with a certain similarity in reminding the monuments mentioned by you.
But they are beautiful and beautiful sculptures.

It is a really nice statue! They are expressive! The texture is realistic in details and the patern of the stone mix with it greatly!

Hi Chris,
Great shot! I like the selected POV and the diagonal composition, it is very dynamic. Very sharp, and even though the light is harsh you did a great job.

Yes, it's a third-way tie between Egypt, Mt Rushmore and Russia!! Actually Chris, I find it quite amusing - you have me smiling...

Hi Chris - indeed very confusing, because seeing the thumbnail one first thought is Egypt.
So this is a WW II memorial - interesting.

Good observation and indeed a pretty cool similarity with both affirmations.
I like the angle and POV you choose here to reveal more the relief and three dimensions of the sculptures.
Well done!

Most confusing! As you say - Rushmore, meets Giza, meeets Amur.
Well captured, the contrast of the grey statues against the deeply saturated sky is just stunning!

Hi Chris
Quality POV on the tree heads - They do remind me of Mt Rushmore - Without a reference point I'm not sure how big the faces are. Very interesting.
Thanks for visiting my Road Trip - your critique is appreciated.

Hi Chris,
Great sculpture photo. Nice POV and colors, I especially like the dark blue sky and the greenery in the bg. Perfect sharpness also, the textures of the statues can be seen quite well.
If one of them is reminding You to the Egyptian Sphynx, where's the lion body? :)
Tfs this excellent image, best regards from Hungary, László

Interesting shot, Chris. Some think the real Sphinx's head was replaced by Phaoronic activity (some Phaoroah making a name for himself) before the Jews were even a nation, this is an interesting shot. TFS. It certainly doesn't look original as there is no sense of proportion as is true of the body.
