There's her brother at the background. This is actually a double portrait ;)

I like introducing empty space into pictures - because emptiness for me is as important as people and things are. I don't know if this works in this particular case, but that was the idea.

Nice soft lighting on your model Eugene. The eyes sort of draws your eyes into the frame. The background is disturbing however, and there is a lot of empty space distracting from the overall composition.

Wonderful shot. For me this picture is just perfect. The black and white tones, the contrast, the lighting, the woman's stare and the boy at the background.

I like the POV the DOF creates - classy, it reminds me of an old movie scene somehow...

nice DOF here,b&w gives a mood with DOF now;looks like a school and we see a teacher and a student.nice light on her and I don't think there is any empty space in this shot.
