[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is a vase on a table in the restored museum at the palace in Pavlovsk 30 kilometers outside St. Petersburg. The palace was completely destryed during the Second World War and has been rebuilt and redecorated and refilled with beautiful pieces from the time of the great Zsars. This palace is only a few kilometers from the famous Catherine Palace but very few non-Russian tourists come here. A pity - because the parks that were designed by an English garden architect in the 18th Century really do look like a piece of English parkland.
This shot just happened, and the effect from the windows is not postprocessing, but the Russiqns having used old glass to imitate what looking out a window was like then.
I rotated slightly, cropped and resized.

Dear Per, this is such a nice still life picture. For me it really has such a peaceful atmosphere. The glasses and the "blur" are fantastic giving it a very special touch. The lighting is difficult but you did great. Daring to shoot against the light. Very good shot. Yours, Jan

nice shot!
realy like the compon with the window and the shine of the greeb trees...
the dark vase realy contrasts good that way.
good job!!

A lovely play with light Per! Love the composition ans the dark silhouette from your main theme here. You managed that harsh light in a good way without blowing it out or loose too much details from inside. I donīt know if i would include more of that curtains or if i would crop it all :)
