[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I think a lot of us have the dream to be able to paint. So what do you do when you get hold of Paint Shop Pro? You try out the dream on one of your photos. And then you discover that postprocessing is hard work. I used to think that once you knew the tool, it was all a question of pushing the right buttons. Well, so much for that. You spend hours until you're satisfied - and then you're still not. So I guess it is a lot like real painting, except that a real painter isn't blessed with an undo button.
This was a lake behind the palace in Pavlosk outside St. Petersburg. The different coloured boats made a nice subject. I am out of workshops for today but I will post the original photo as workshop tomorrow.
The process was simply too long and too full of trial and error and corrections to be recounted.

The original is available as workshop to allow you to compare.

Being a painter, I really enjoy the post-processing on this. The blue boat stands out beautifully against the green and you did a great job getting symmetry with the reflection on the water.
Very nice!

well youre a good painter to!!
or should i say a good post procesor!!
i like the compo very mutch, with the boates in the quit water....
nice one!

You are right, Per. Post processing like this takes a long time. It looks great, though! It looks like you started with a good photo, which makes things easier. the texture doesn't excite me, but the colors do. I've found the trick to be using several filters in small increments to get the job done. i suspect you've found that out, too! Nice work!

Crazy efect... but works good! ;))
Fine shot Per.

??? Hey man??? With this stunning post process i just can´t see where you managed to put me here..."Where´s Marco" is getting harder levels i guess ;)))

Very well done, looks like a Monet's painting. Very nice, I like the work you did on it.
Best regards
