Wake up Siberia…

Flying in a China Southern airlines Boeing 777-300ER from Amsterdam to Beijing at 36.000 feet over the rough district of Siberia I saw the sun rising slowly over the horizon. Before the first rays the sky coloured from black to dark blue to light blue in yellow orange and finally red. It was a gorgeous view out of my aircraft window. It was time to wake up. And so should the Siberians do (literally). As passenger you now will be soon surprised by the flight attendant with a “delicious” breakfast which takes at least a litre of coffee to rinse away the cardboard taste of the pancake with delicious cockroach egg dressing together with a flimsy strawberry pudding which was so sweet the fillings of my teeth came apart! And after the coffee you need at least two litres of mineral water to wash the mucky airline donkey coffee taste away.

You know travelling is:
a) waiting
b) wait again
c) suffering poor airline food and finally…
d) once more to wait in the next cue!

And after all that suffering: get pleasure from: being surprised and happy! So you can enjoy the beauty of nature making pictures (for example) and don’t miss things because the flight attendant distracts you!

PS-talk:
- No adjustments of colour (no increasing of saturation)
- Cropped
- Framed and add text
- Due "playing in PS" with light effects refer my WS I noticed it just after uploading the noise at the wingtip area. Swearing didn't help...just sit and wait till some one let me know my failure. So Claudine was at first to notice it; well done my dear friend! Apparently 'forgot' to remove the remains of disaster, the white spots left of the tip of the wing.

Siberia (Russian: Сиби́рь, Sibir; Tatar: Seber) is a vast region of Russia constituting almost all of Northern Asia. It extends eastward from the Ural Mountains to the Pacific Ocean, and southward from the Arctic Ocean to the hills of north-central Kazakhstan and the borders of both Mongolia and China. All but the extreme south-western area of Siberia lies in Russia, and it makes up about 56% of that country's territory.

With an area of 10,007,400 km2, Siberia makes up roughly 58% of the total area of Russia. Major geographical zones include the West Siberian Plain and the Central Siberian Plateau.(Text from Wikipedia.com)

Hi Hans,
I like this picture very much; I think this is a very original plane picture. Those colors are just great and so is composition... There is just a little noise but nothing too bad :) I want to say that I'm sorry, I deleated my yesterday's plane as it seems that, except from you, I didn't have any other reactions... What can I say? Thanks again for your nice comment about it.

I absolutely love reading your notes on these things, they are just great, I almost wonder some times which I enjoy seeing more - GREAT effort.

The photo, awesome timing and a good capture. Love the way that when you look at it you are instantly transported to being on the plane and then you are even happier to know that you don't have to stand in those queues! ;-)

Cheers

Hi Hans,
Another good one of a plane with great sky !
It reminds me my flight from Paris to Hong Kong ... such a wonderful moment when the sun was rising, just before arriving above China sea :)
I have one in my gallery if you are interested.

Hoi Hans,

Geweldig deze foto!
Als je zo rond de wereld kunt reizen . . . kan kom je deze situatie regelmatig tegen.
Maar dan moet je wel je camera klaar hebben.

Nogmaals, geweldig!

What can a say?
I envy the seat next to the window:)
