Recently I found that several my friends created pretty interesting post stamps from thier countries and I liked this idea too. I have not seen for a while something here from Russia, so that it was pretty hard for me to choose the scene to represent my country.

Yesterday, I have posted new picture on my website and TE and told that it was very heavy snowfall in Moscow. Fortunately, when I was working with my client from Indonesia, I had opportunity to make some interesting pictures during the day. I think that one of my pictures nearby Novodevichy convent where all trees and buildings covered by thick layer of snow with beautiful architecture of Orthodox churches can give you specific image of Russia and you can not mix it up with another country, isn't it?

Introduction for this place from my previous pictures:

One of the most beautiful Moscow convents, founded at the beginning of 16th century, for 400 years the Novodevichy Convent was the witness and the participant of important historical events, connected with the names of Ivan the Terrible, Boris Godunov, Sofia and Peter I. The architectural ensemble of the convent was formed by the end of 17th century and till now remains one of the best in Russia!

Hi Arthur,

Excellent stamp's collection you have here, like I said... most of your shot make me look at them like looking at the cake and icing... so does this one... it make me feel like I should shrink to tiny little person and go into this magical winter wonderland. :D Well captured and nice compo... thanks for sharing

Cheers,
Sweety

Arthur, this is brilliant!! It looks good and you managed to place the mail stamp in the lower corner too. Good job.
The scene fits the stamp perfectly - it isn't always easy, so I say "Well Done!"

Hi Arthur
This would have been a good picture even if not on a stamp.
The the POV and the receding hills give tremendous depth to this shot.
great notes to go with it.

Character of your country is giving the stamp back. Fine architecture.

Hello Arthur !

As a kid , I used to collect Russian stamps . I was buying the full years, one by one . The collection was building up rapidly, as your country published a lot of stamps.

This one is indeed a superb one. Great winter scene. The image is well composed, details are sharp, and perfectly framed with the stamp at the perfect spot. A top quality shot for that theme. Well done !
Robert
