| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Recently I have been in Danilovsky food market (farmer's market) with American photographer, Lynn Freida, where she took some photographs for a special edition of "Departures" magazine (owned by American Express) about Russia. Danilovsky food market is located in the center of Moscow city, pretty close to downtown and considered to be one of most expensive food markets in Moscow.
I had also opportunity to make several interesting shots there on my camera and this picture, where the butchers gave us permission to take several pictures with their implements :-), is one of my favorite from this place. Here I can say, that the atmosphere of this market, characters and faces of the people are very common for many local Russian markets.
Also I posted on my website the special hot news with a story about the photo shooting in Moscow with photographer from "Departures" magazine and hope that it will be interesting for you to read it.
With BEST Regards,

Hey, Arthur. An interesting shot indeed. I'm taken by the contrast of the gentle smile on the face of the young butcher and the fearsome hatchet he's holding. Nice document. Best, -Hugh

First Arthur, I was very intrigued with your story - you must be very careful about what you write - that official might read it - about deleting the photos.
And this is a good photo showing the butchers at their work. Very sharp and clear and having the porsonal feel about it all. Very well done,
Janice

Hi Arthus,
For some reason, I don't think these people look real at all...:P hehehe, honestly they look like those status from the wax musuem... maybe is the colours of their faces? Not sure what it is... especially the butcher on the left is holding the big huge axe.... no doubt it is a good shot, nice captured and good composition, :D thanks for sharing,
Cheers,
Sweety
p.s do listen to Janice, she is a very wise lady. :D
