I love the feeling, detail and color of St Basil's in Moscow. I went for a more up-close look, not worrying about showing the whole Church. It looked so cheery on this freezing March Day.

When I was last here 12 years ago the building was filthy and the domes looked sad up close. The Russians have done an amazing job to restore the church built by Ivan the Terrible in the 16th Century.

Minor level tweak, USM. Pretty much right out the camera

It look like it was made of sweets.
Some cany yoy can buy at the fun fair.
Well done

I liked the composition. The colors and the clearness get the attention and they turn the pleasant theme for the glance. Very good.

Great colors and sharpness! Interesting architecture, maybe you will include also the top of the towers next time?

Hi David, I enjoy the details very much! Very good sharpness and lights, excellent POV. Well done!

Beautiful architecture David the colours are so vivid, you have created a great composition that has captured the essence of the domes. Well done.

If it's not real.....
I like the many colours and the picture is full of details in these towers. I already saw your TE-version, David, this one's nicer because of the scaffoldings, which are not included here. Great shot against the happy sky too !

Very nice details David. Nice and vibrent colours. TFS

eastern orthodox churches have a very interesting architecture. i like the way, they have incorporated the byzentine empire into the more modern sense. the onion domes, have always been something i've liked about cerkev's.

the building itself, looks very fairy tale.

i like the angle you've chosen to take the photo at. you can see the very fine detail of the lighting rod lines, and the very small orthodox crosses.

a great angle, and a great shot!
thanks for sharing
