Hello Sarge,
Ye, you right, long time ago.. St. Basil's exterior was renovated completly at the end of 2005, now it is looks wonderful. From the left side of St. Basil's we can see part of the huge building of hotel Rossija which is now already turned down... The tall pines trees on the Red Square were replaces this year (2007) with the young small ones.
