I posted a "straight" version of this on TrekEarth more than a year ago as part of a travelogue from Russia. But the gaussian noise effect on these city shots keeps fascinating me, so here it is as another contribution to this series.
The place is Nevsky Prospekt in St. Petersburg which is the equivalent of 5th Avenue in New York or Oxford Street in London. It is a lot more fashionable and westernised than the rest of St Petersburg and for that matter the rest of Russia. And nevertheless, if you look closely, you can see several unmistakeable Russian elements: The girl in the pink jacket, the "street kid" with the earphones and the man in the middle with the beer can, staggering visibly. But St. Petersburg is a lovely city, well worth the visit. |

I like the scene Per but am not quite sure about the grain. Perhaps a little reduction? B
Hello Per, je trouve cette photo agréable à regarder et la granulation lui donne un côté page de la une.

This could be anywhere in the world on a busy street. Pizza Hut, Reebok, all well known names. I do like your filter Per too. Excellent results. well done. TFS.
