[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This picture was taken in an over 600 years old Trinity Lavra of St. Sergius (Troitse-Sergiyeva Lavra), the residence of the head of the Russian Orthodox church. This monastery is considered as Russian Vatican and was founded by Sergey Radonezhsky (Saint Sergey) in the 14th century.

The six-pillared Assumption Cathedral is in the center of Lavra. Ivan the Terrible commissioned the constructions of this cathedral in 1559 in memory of Kazan's capture. It was finished in 1585.

Very good composition, where the golden and blue colours are working so well together! I like the framing bu the contrasty trunks and branches, in this pleasing image!

You have very successfully chosen a motif out of a building complex that is simply overpowering in terms of photo opportunities. Very well done, especially considering the presence of the trees. Good job.
