Father Arkady and Karel
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Father Arkady and the dog Karel in front of their house.
The village of Kolodozero is one of the most remote and god-forsaken places in Karelia - 400 km from Petrozavodsk and 70 km from a small town Pudozh. There are few signs of civilization, no mobile connection and the landline telephone is unreliable. Lakes abound in fish and forests in wild animals. Wolves use to come to the village in the night in winter and the locals try to keep their dogs indoors. The roads are bad, especially in the summer, but people are incledible. One can hardly find anything like that in Moscow. |

I like the composition, even though Father K is a little out of focus. I find he dog in the background makes the scene so interesting. It has a good journalistic approach to it. Your informative note is excellent.
Sorry I have no points left.
I don't know why, but this photo is special... it's just there... I love it. I'll try to sort my favourites list because I really like this photo, and I want it added to my favourites. I'm at a loss for words.
Beautiful work Eugene.
