[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
shot in a Mosque this morning in Little India
a man prays alone in silence...

the photo is not very sharp...but i kind of like the mood from the soft focus cause by the F5.6 of the Rollie :)
you needs around F8 to get sharpness from the Tessar lens and 120 film :)

scan from negatives
b/w convertion with virtual photographer
slight crop
vigenette filter and burn tool in PS

It works, actually. The unfocused background closing in on him, surrounding him, seems to evoke the intensity of the experience (or, at least, to suggest an intense experience, whether or not he is reall having one). The chair behind him, intersecting with his body, seems to be a compositional error. While I see that you like the high space above him, I think a tighter, horizonal aspect ratio crop would place more focus on the subject. The gentle light is beautiful. -Hugh
