This is a very old movie projector used around 1945-48. It is on display in the museum in Singapore which has a exhibition on photography at present. This huge projector stands almost 2 metres high and would likely be very heavy. In somewhat darkened room but result OK.
Singapore museums have some very good exhibitions at times. Good to escape the heat between meetings. |

Hi Murray
A real antique, just like me, in 1945 I was a teen ager.
It looks like it was either welded or was involved in a fire, as it was quite common back then that the projector would start fires in the projection room.
A good shot

Wow, what a fantastic old Movie projector this is.
Excellently captured, Murray.
So at this moment you'r in Singapore, right ?
Ever been in the Amara Hotel (Tanjong Pagar road) and even better in the Karaoke club, at the left street side,? forgot the name, but it belongs to the Hotel.
Further on at the street, there in a very nice nightclub, called The Old Fifties. When you go there, say hello from me to the Singing girls, haha
Nice a good time in Singapore, dear friend.

I love anything old so to me this is very beautiful and interesting. Something I have never seen before actually. The black background really helps bring out the details and color. A very nice post. TFS and have a happy day !
Very nice work Murray! I love the use of available light, very crisp and sharp, beautiful details and tones. Good job.
