Hungering for getting more challenging shot, I went out to hunt animal as my next subject :-)
But this small cute creature seemed to enjoy posing. Though I had maximized the focal length to 55 mm, I had to stay as close as about 8 inches to him to get this shot. So lucky hah?? He (don’t know bout the sex actually) didn’t just stand still but also looked at the lens and smiled. Seeing that, I instantly smile at him.
This what people say about: You smile and the world smiles with you.
May his smile represent to all our smiles for anybody seeing this and contributing for the smiles.

Any comments/critics welcome.
:-) Thank you (-:

The dragonlfly really looks like smiling. The framing is interesting but it could be used as a cover for a book or something rather than standalone photo.
Well done, all in all.
Seb

Hi Ratna,
The picture of the dragonfly itself is great; sharp, colourful and good lighting. The frame and text distracting me a spectator from the beauty of this shot it is too overwhelming. Of course it is a matter of personal taste but that’s my honest critic on this picture. Nevertheless a very good try and TFS!

dragons in action... i.m seeing her smiling face, seems like a joker painted. Very well Ratna.

Yea, actually i noticed something special about dragon flies, they pose quite long enough and if even if it flies away, it will surelly come back again to the same spot where it first landed. try getting more of insect close ups. though its hard to shot since insect are highly moving creature. shooting from the front would lessen its blur effect. hey, you got an excellent photo here with good DOF.

Regards,
Frisco

hi ratna, great capture! you found a very willing subject. the yellowish-orange color blends well with the green background. i just think the blurred framing and the text occupies too much of the photo. maybe an 80-20 split is better, but that's just a matter of taste. cheers :)
