Two zebras walking in opposite direction... ;)

I've tried to duotone this photo but I lost the golden reflection of the sunset. So I kept it in colour instead.

I'm curious to know how you guys find this shot. Compo-wise I don't think it's great but there's something that attract me in it. Oh btw, I've tried to 'heigthen' the eye of the zebra following the advice of my TL mate Wayne...don't think it worked out well here or did I do it wrongly. Anybody can help? Thanks!

Advices/criticism/feedback are all welcomed :)

excellent job! I like the framing with the other zebra and I like the DOF and sharpness too. I don't think I would like a b&w conversion as much. Don't really need it with zebras. ;)

Great photo. JP

it looks good in color bro :)
the bits of green in the background adds contrast to the b/w zebra.
very nice DOF

Well taken! I like the way it's made. A safari who were well realised!

Hi Talisman

I like the graphism of the black & white zebra. Excellent use of a shallow dof with good sharpness & lighting. Well done!

Hey man, pretty cool capture. The comp is okay. It's a good tight crop. The foreground element works as this kind of DOF imitates how our eyes see so it makes it feel very first-person. However I just wish that the full head of the zebra could be seen. Since us animals are very unpredictable, it takes the patience and readiness of a sniper to get the right shot. In this case, waiting for all the elements to come into harmony. It's more about practice than luck. Keep going. Peace

A very nice one Talisman, I like a lot the way you took the picture, with all those lines, very well done. Looks like a modern art.
Best regards
Guy

I like the close crop that you chose here. The different angles of the stripes on the two zebras and the DOF selected works well.

what a wonderful shot this is. Like the DOF. Well focused...can see alot of detail on the zebra.

Hi There,
great composition. It would have been even better if the one in the foreground was also in focus IMO. Great job.

Very nice shot, Mervyn, with a really good choice of DOF. Well done!
Take care,
Martine

Hi Talisman, Very good result using this DOF. Very striking end result. Congratulations. Murray.
