This snap has been added to my Birds theme and was taken at Jurong Bird Park during the Birds of Prey show.

"Jurong BirdPark is a 20.2 hectare open-concept park. It is the largest in the Asia Pacific and the best in the world. Its collection of more than 9,000 birds from 600 species is among the largest in the world. The Park specialises in birds from Southeast Asia.

The Park has four aviaries, among which is the world’s largest walk-in aviary with the tallest man-made waterfall for visitors to enjoy a close-up view of free-flying birds from Africa and South America. Bird shows, staged at the Pool Amphitheatre and Fuji Hawk Walk are entertaining and informative and have thrilled visitors from all over the world.

The BirdPark’s exhibits and aviaries are specially designed to closely resemble the natural habitats of the bids. There are also open spaces landscaped with exotic flowering plants such as heliconias to enhance the beauty of the BirdPark."

Hi Richard, visited in a Park near you. Wonderful to capture a vulture like this and with a companion in the background.
Is it an enclosure with nets, or are they really free to come and go as they please?
TFS
Have a nice weekend,
Els

Hi Richard,
What a powerful looking bird, great shot with the other in the BG being OOF, excellent detail on the bird and if your note had not stated it was at a show you would have thought them being in the wild.
Excellent photograph well done.
Tfs Andy

Hi Richard:
Most excellent capture of this flying vulture.
Very good dof to make it standout from the other ine behind him. I took to photoshop and reduced Brightness by 15% and added contrast by 5% and it looked a bit more stand out.
Wonderful post with interesting notes.
David

Excellent action shot, not easy to take. Maybe I would have added a bit more contrast.

Hi Richard. Very good capture of these two large birds in flight. DOF is good too as the background does not detract from the main subjects. I have been starting to try to get photos of seagulls in flight and found it quite difficult. TFS. Murray.

its a very ugly bird but you've done a great job of capturing it. I think of Bugs Bunny when I see this picture and the cartoon vulture, I don't think I've ever even seen a real picture of one, great shot of it in mid-flight.
