[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This shot is scanned from a print. The original source is a Fuji slide film which I had scanned and printed on a 4R size paper in one of the 1 hour photo stalls in a mall. So I guess a lot of details were lost in this final output, but I still like to share it anyway.

I took this picture in the China Town district in Singapore in 2005. It is a shot of a man intently carving chinese characters on a jade chop.

The shot was made on available light using a Canon EF 50mm F/1.8. I created a shot that will draw your eyes to his hand as he intensely carves in absolute concentration.

Mon anglais n'est pas bon mais je crois avoir compris que l'image était scanné. Mais je pense que l'original doit être une belle photo.
Je regrette juste que l'une des mains soit floue.

Very detailed photo that really transmits the sense of concentrationg you were looking for. I like the shallow depth a lot.
