follow up to yesterday's post
this was just beside that brick wall :) i had this idea of using the road as a backdrop to get symetry, depth and focus all in one frame :) i quite like the result

i also made plans to shoot the same idea on a longer, bigger and more empty road with a different model...a semi-pro model :P

yanling tends to get very tense infront of the camera, it was difficult to get her to relax and i think it shows on the photos...i'll try a few more sessions with her for portraits but without the "themes" idea to see if i can get her to feel more at ease for the camera :)

some members commented on the first photo that she looks like she's listening to a sad song...i'm glad that part showed up in the photo :) cause it was a sad song but its also a very "intense" song...that part was a lot more difficult to capture :P

a slightly different look posted in the workshop :)

Nice Shot! (although the model seems to be tensed) The detail is excellent. Bravo! :)

Weng,

I like the DOF, the subject realy comes out.
Great series of Ling. the POV are excellent as well.

Good choice of location ... I love roads as a location for a model/portrait shoot, I especially love crowded places - although I'm just too self conscious to do it myself, yet.
Technically it's great, good POV, good light, sharp and cropped well.
With regards to relaxing Ling, it's really a case of more and more sessions, until she starts to forget about the camera and can be herself again.
I look forward to seeing more.

nice and trendy, cheers mate, Arty

Hello BK,
Another good portrait of her...even though she is not centered the image is really good.

Hello my friend! I think this girl certainly has grace, style, beauty and poise but needs a little more practice as others have said...

I think I preferred yesterday's image but this is still very good. Well done!

Hi BK.
Good shot of this girl again. It's nice and sharp and skin toes are also good. Again, I like how she looks away from the camera, into the distance...
Well done,
Jako

Great portrait photo. I like it very much.
Well done

I really like this picture, it's almost symbolic for a state of mind, maybe a generation. Very nice, i like her youthfullness and her determination! :) Alex
