Bicycle - For Koh

Not really too sure what I'm doing here with this one... :-)
Anyway, following in the style of Wenqing, I decided to post a more urban shot of Singapore, away from the normal touristy stuff. This was taken by United Square, near my home.
I'd like to write more of a note, but there's not really much to say! It's a snap of an old bike chained to a lamppost. C'est tout!
Shot in RAW, converted, changed to b/w, slight crop, resized, sharpened, frame added. Oh, and ISO was set at 1600, just messing about with settings. |

hi richard!
a well composed photo! the B&W is a good choice here, becaause you managed to essentialized the subject.
good POV! well done!
love,

i like simple compositions like this richard :)
it makes you think...for a photo like this to work with b/w, the composition and framing is everything...i think you suceeded in this part :)
the bike stand out in the photo, giving the viewer a clear idea of the subject in mind
the sharpness and tones are perfect, adding to the mood
the framing of the bike closer to the right, givs a nice sense of space and depth :)
the only thing i might change is maybe using a wider lens or even a fisheye to present a more interesting perspective...but this still works for me :)

Hi Richard.
Great old bike. Long time ago I had similar bike with double frame. Was made in India and was great. Like this one. Very interesting perspective.
