My two wee lassies, Jessica and Hannah.

So difficult to get them to sit together quietly to get their photo taken, but ice-cream seemed to do the trick :-)

This was taken in the Botanic Gardens earlier today. It was pretty hot and sticky (no change there then, this is Singapore...!) so after a wee stroll around the Orchid Garden, we sat and had some refreshment.

Not really much else to say, it's a spur of the moment snap of two sisters sitting quietly. But they are my wee girls and they mean the world to me and it's a "send to the family in Scotland" kinda snap.

Another Treklenser the other day said something that I hadn't fully appreciated before...these two girls have almost grown up on Treklens. Over the last year and more they have appeared regularly on this sit. In fact, for most of Jessica's wee life, all 18 months of it, she has been a TL regular. Weird!

This has been added to my weans theme, "weans" being a Scottish term for children :-)

Shot in RAW, converted, changed to b/w, slight crop, resized and sharpened.

Hi Richard,

Well . . finally you made it. So lovely picture of both. This will be a memorable picture for them when they grow up. I have difficulties of converting film to digital, it's too many.

Well done my friend.

Tfs,
Tjutjut

Beautiful are the only words needed Richard.

Regards Mark :)

Hi richard,
Well not only did you get them together but you managed to get them to look at the camera for the picture, great shot of the little maids and a good DOF, it might be me but the focus seems a litte sharper on Jessica than on Hannah.
Tfs Andy

ADorable!! NIce shot, very natural looking! Nice bribe! Ice cream ALWAYS works! The BW works extremely well with portraits!
B-)
Linda

good to see them together richard :)
the little one has beautiful eyes
good idea with the ice cream :P

i like the use of b/w here, the tones look a little lite...maybe a little more contrast or color filter effect in PS to bring out more tones :)

Great portrait! Greetings

Cuzzy.....What beautiful lassies... they must be McKenzies!! LOL..

So lovely to get your wee girls sitting together and both looking at the camera Richard..Your a very proud father and so you should be.

Lovely in black and white, maybe a larger f stop, would have brought a bit more focus on Hannah.. but otherwise lovely.

Cheers
Dawn.

Hi Richard,
I'm NOT disappointed you chose to post this "weans" photo today and not the promised one :-)
Must admit this is a better subject as boxing. A soooooo...adoring picture my friend; excellent. Great models you have must be endless photographing these two. Those hats, so English...sorry Scottish :-) Well performed my friend a superb B&W composition which in fact owns more than a two point greeny.

Richard
As a grand parent I understand the importance of photographs of the wee ones and it is fun sharing their images with the world. Thoses individuals who are to can track their growth in your picture gallety.
Besides that this posting is perfect, with those ice creams - B & W a nice touch.

Dan

Hi Richard, so nice to see your two wee lassies sitting together like this. And eating icecream too.
They are naturals in front of the camera - and they should be too! As you said, "They have almost grown up on Treklens!"
And they are pretty little lassies too - take after their mother?

Well, with such cute subjects it's difficult to take a bad picture. I'm surprised how well the large aperture worked: I would have thought that the depth of field would have been to shallow. The expressions are priceless, you can tell that the older girl is posing, while the younger might not be aware of this concept yet. I would have liked a less central composition, but the choice of black and white works very well. Probably you agree with me, this lens is fantastic for portraits.

Bonjour Richard,
Très jolie capture de ces deux petites soeurs, excellent composition en Noir & Blanc, beau contraste aussi, Très jolie photo..et jolie modèle..very pretty little girl..
Michel

Once again an adorable picture of your little sweethearts. Love their expressions! Very nice in b&w. TFS

Richard, I could leave comments on all of your photos of your girls! They are precious with adorable smiles. Great composition with them sitting side by side, eating ice cream! I also like the black and white.

Nicely done, Lisa
