[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I first wanted to place this series on my TrekEarth account, but it got rejected since it was HPP...
Well... Anyhow! I made these pictures with my little faithfull LX2.

What you see is Chinatown! On the left it's Temple Street in the morning, looking out on the People's Park Complex highrise. Really nice to walk through Chinatown when most people are still having their breakfast.
The second shot is also Chinatown, but during the day and in the parallel street called Pagoda Street. I was there just before the Chinese New Year celebrations (18-02) and the place was packed.

Technical note:
Both pictures were taken in black and white. I often put my digital to black and white, because you start looking differently at your composition.
The Exif Data is of the left picture, imported in this composition w Exif Pilot.
The shots have been made old in CS3 with 55mm plugins, old photo, ND Grad and gel filters. Also I used the standard pixellation and noise filters and added a polaroid-like frame.

Hi Dennis! Good idea.
If you like "Polaroid effect" try Google Picasa... it's simple and fantastic.
Nikon Coolpix P1, my old digital camera: now there is a Olympus SP550.
Ciao

Hi Dennis: Good presentation for these. I like the contrast of activity levels depicted at this location. I might object to seeing the backs of so many heads and a lack of faces in the picture on the right, but these pics are being presented more as snapshots, and it does relate the bustling crowd there very well.
