[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is the second night shot of the banking district, taken from the park near Stamford Road.
My previous picture on the banking district was taken from the dark end of the field behind me. This one is taken from half-way the field, in the middle of the light. Behind me is the guy that's practicing football in my previous picture, and in front of me they were just ending the rugby practice.
More or less a similar point of view, but a totally different feel to it.

Here you see the Cricket Club at the end of the field a bit more clear. It's the second olderst sports club in Singapore (1852!). The oldest is the Turf Club (horseracing).

Nearby historic buildings include Raffles Hotel, St. Andrew's Cathedral, City Hall (on the steps of which the Japanese surrendered to the British in 1945), the Supreme Court, Parliament House, the Victoria Theatre and Memorial Hall.

A great weekend to you all!

Hello Dennis.
Great result. Very well composed picture. I like the contrast between green grass and the black sky. Nice details of the buildings.

Hi Dennis,
Superb nocturnal shot, particular the bright vivid green on the FG against the dark sky makes it an attractive pictue. Well balananced too!

Hi Dennis,
This frame is perhaps even better because he is focusing on the centre. Very pretty details.

Hello Dennis !

The grass of the park seems a bit out of focus here. But nevertheless a pretty good shot once agian. I like a lot the contrasts between the buildings in the BG and the green grass of the park.

Keep on shooting and sharing (^_^)

I like this feel better. More focus on the buildings and fewer distractions. TFS. K2

great capture Dennis.. definition is perfect.. the towers are colored by the lighting widows and this effect is nice.. it looks alive and full of people.. POV and crop are good! nice note too.. well done!
ciao Marco

altijd mooi om foto van singapore te zien
ziet er zo bekend en mooi uit
denk wel dat de voorgrond hier te veel afleid en dat daardoor de achtergrond te donker wordt

Hi Dennis,
beautiful night shot. Perfect exposure to get the FG and BG equally sharp. Well done.
