Cold Blooded Creek
Tweaking some colors and tones gives a bit of drama and mood to the scene, specially if you have a nice backdrop, although the lighting is not that good. I used highlights/shadows, layering, selective erasures so the subject will appear in the dim lit shot :)

Composition:
Model: Canon PowerShot A640
Exposure Time: 1/4
F-Stop: f/3.5
Focal Length: 12565/1000 mm
Metering Mode: Pattern
Flash: Flash did not fire, compulsory flash mode

Pp work:
Software: Adobe Photoshop CS3
1. use warp, skew, layering, Shadow/Highlight, and selective erasures
2. merge layers/flatten images
3. resize and sharpen some details
4. add border
5. resize for TL

Quote of the Day:
"It is a rare photographer who can take a detached, cold-blooded view of his work." -Arthur Rothstein

Wow, Freddie, nice work! I like the atmosphere you have created in this scene. The color and light qualities are unique and masterful. Not at all cold-blooded:)

Hello Freddie,
This has an amazing feel to it, it's almost like an oil painting to me. Lovely lighting, great pp work.
Regards
Philippa

great creepy atomosphere and good use of colourtones
great surrealistic trip

Nice PP work which creates a picture with the feel of a victorian oil painting. The lighting doesn't quite work for me, with the bearded dragons (?) being too strongly lit in comparison with the background shadows.
Thanks for sharing
Mark

Hello Fred!

You have created a beautiful environment here . Too bad these cuties can not see themselves (^_^). Very warm tones. I love the overall ambiance of the decor .
Well done!
Robert

perfect treatment Freddie! looks like a scene from the Museum of Science and Natural History.

FRED! WOW ESTE TRABAJO ES BEJO DÁ UNA IMPRESIÓN EXTRA SENSORIAL, MAGNIFICO

Magaling, Freddie! I think you've done a great job with this.

I've seen a lot of showcase-at-the-zoo type photographs, and they get ruined by one of two things - flash-glare on the glass, or camera-shake due to the low light levels.

Here you captured a shot without flash, but very sharp - and you've made excellent use of the PP tools to give the image some real depth and interest.

If I had one little grumble it would be the frame, that's a baduy shade of brown and I'm not a fan of titles-in-frames either. But - that doesn't change the fact that it's a great shot!

The colours are quite intriguing! May I request a WS to show us how you achieved this?

Hi Fred

I love the colour tones here. This shot reminds me of the old films where they used to use lizards as dinosaurs or monsters (journey to the centre of the earth - that sort of thing). It is very well composed
