Yes, you are biased Richard - and YES she is a very pretty wee girl. She looks a real darling.
Those big deep eyes - I bet she can wind you around her little finger at times!
Both images a good, but I always lean to the coloured ones. And I am pleased you didn't clone out the natural bit of icecream by her lips.

What huge beautiful eyes!!! I think Janice is right, she must have you wrapped around her little finger. In a few years you better buy a big gun :) This is a really nice capture of her looking deep in thought. The b&w is also very nice, but I do like the colored because of the color of her eyes. The so called casual snaps are usually the best, this is very natural, lovely soft diffused light and your little daughter is a beautiful model.

It's frightening how quickly they grow up.

Beautiful, trusting and innocent are all captured here dear Richard. I love the crop and both the black and white and the colour are lovley. I don’t think I can choose. Hi Richard,

You're not biased at all! She is an adorable child in any eyes!! I like the angle of her glance. Very sweet.

I really do like both images. I notice her eyes more in the black and white because the red's not there to draw a little attention. The color image shows her peaches and cream complexion, eye color, and a bit of her personality wearing that bright red. So, both are super in their own way.

Great shot! Hot air balloon, shopping, and ice cream! A fun day that won't soon be forgotten. Lisa :D

The composition of this is fabulous!
I must say that you are so much better at portrait work than I am -- I love the moment, the expression, the image as a whole. My one niggle is the blue tint that I seem to see, so I have done a small workshop for you

Your daughter is beautiful. The lighting in this shot is nice, I like how the shadows fall on the right side of her face. Her eyes are sharp and beautiful. She does look to be the same age as my daughter, what fun they are. Great work Richard, you're a lucky dad.

We are family? I don't hope so :-)
Anyway I like the portrait of wee Hannah here. Here eyes are regarding sharpness perfect.

I'm only not so happy with the bluish sclera of Hannah's eyes. Also the blurred left arm and the part of the table she is leaning on are in my opinion a bit distractive. Sorry for the hard critique big fellah, but it's only my opinion ;-)

From photos of you I have seen, of course we are glad she does not look like the Kilted. But she looks lovely and I do notice her left lip has a food smear. The available light and its control is well done, the portrait is good especially I like the face expression and...those eyes!

To be critical and picky, I would say the blur arm and the table to be cropped and Hans's WS is my choice.

i am giving my vote to the black and white version :) but as a whole, i like this photo a lot :)

true, this is not a studio portrait, but it doesn't have to be one, in my opinion.

by the grace of Allah, your kids are very very beautiful, no doubts there, may Allah bless you all :)

however, i believe that the way you've taken the shot, and the ISO, and the colors, combined with the 'moment' itself is something that compliments this photo too :)

on a sidenote, i'd say i prefer the warming filter version more :)

Damn your are biased ! But we certainly understand why ! (^_^) . Such charming wee girls.

These eyes....... WoW ! In a few years you will have to watch for the numerous pretenders (^_*). Just thinking of the poor fellas, I am laughing out loud . They better be very careful ( LOL !). And I am not saying that in a negative way at all. K

Technically: Well to be honest, I like yours , and workshops submitted too. The cropped image suggested by Hans is gorgeous too!

I prefer the Color version. The red is popping out so well here contrasting better than the B&W version. Although it is still clear and sharp. But I prefer the modern look of the colored version.

As many of us, I am too, thinking about all the boys you will have around when this little girl grows older. Her beautiful big eyes have a very sweet/tender expression. Beautiful shinny soft hair. Very natural. I like the composition and the colors. Also, I like, a lot, GrenBaron´s workshop.
