Taken early Spring. These Falls are much more impressive, late summer, after heavy rains. The strong backlight was challenging. I preferred my version, to the over-saturated version, in wikipedia:

This is an alternate jpeg of the falls, on 'Wikipedia'.

"Cheonjiyeon Waterfall is a waterfall on Jeju Island, South Korea. Literally, the name Cheonjiyeon means sky (Ch'eon) connected with land (ji). It is one of the main tourist attractions on Jeju-do. It is 22 meters high and 12 meters wide. Though water always falls in one particular area, depending on the amount of recent rain, the water may spread out. At the bottom of the waterfall is an artificial pond that is 20 meters deep. Large volcanic rocks form landbridges that allow tourists to pose for photographs in front of the falls. The waterfall is one of the three famous waterfalls of Jeju, the other two being Cheonjeyeon Waterfall and Jeongbang Waterfall" Source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cheonjiyeon_Waterfall

"The legend has it that the waterfall was named after seven nymphs who assisted the heaven`s emperor descended at night to bath and play in the water. Flanked with dense trees are the three waterfalls providing magnificent sight to enjoy."

Several groups of schoolkids are on an excursion to the falls.

Hi Chris,
I have always find it difficult to take pictures of waterfalls, they are usually OE. A might fine job here. The pp adjustments ought to be commended in this well composed scene. Best regards, Danilo

Hi Chris,

Nice shot of the falls. All of the green coloring makes it look very cool during the warm weather. The trees and people to the right look a little bright, but not distracting. I especially like the two women in the foreground leaning over to take a closer look.

thanks for sharing, Lisa

Great POV with the two figures in the foreground peeking over to look at the waterfall.
Great curve created by the architecture of that bank.
Excellent color and focus.
Lovely shot.

interesting framing including the two girls in foreground looking to the waterfalls

Yes I see what you mean Chris.
If it was good enough for the heaven's emperor, it's good enough for this group of class-mates to want to jump right in.

Lovely place to visit, nice natural greens here.
