Hi ,
Been off the site for a few days , problems with my PC hard disk ( worn out ), had a slave disk which is gone too ( as old as the the main one ) . All is well now ,,, anyway i had figured it would happen sooner or later so cleverly had kept my Data on an external disk as back-up so it is now back from the shop with a brand new disk and the old data transferred on it ! I am fully functional with my usual photo programs re-installed ! A relief !
This one dates back quite a few years , back to May 1992 . My wife and i were walking around this beautiful park when this South Korean couple walked down to the pond and sat on a bench to chat at low voice , i captured this moment when both are speechless , just as if they were hearing each other's inner feelings of this very historicly important moment of their lives together . No word needed be exchanged here ,silence even momentary conveys the mood of this instant i think .It is a scanned print , PP involved here : Using Picasa 3 focaL B&W option i was able to desaturate around a central point in order to keep the bride's bouquet in colors , added soft focus to the image ,cropped to de-center the couple a little ,cloned a few debris on the ground , resized and sharpened for TL , thank you for looking , i appreciate all comments on this one ,
Carol

Hi Carol,
Excellent image of partly desaturation. Superb how the purple bouquet is a central point between the two. Also the soft filtre works fine. Great posting!

Hi Carol
A beautiful picture. Only that mistiness should not have invaded so much into the photograph. The body langauge and expressions are caught well. I like that touch of pink/purple of the bouquets. TFS

Hi Carol
Looks good for a scan and made interesting with the PP work. The little dash of color adds interest to the Desaturated now B & W image. TFS

Hi Carol,

Amicalement
Pascal-Eric

" Sorry " Carol ...
of course I don't mean it ! :-)
This is " one small step for PP but a great step for my mind "
Remember such a frase ? :-)

You were walking, saw this couple and took the photo.
Afterwards you weren't happy with the result because
you felt the need to do some heavy ( !! ) PP-work.
Why ?...
:-)

A " reverse but " can be revealing too
:-)

See you later Carol
Jan

Ola, Carol!

Great picture and well done partly desaturation. Beautiful moment and good PP work. Congratulations, friend!

Cheers,
Bruno

I hope you gave them your number so you could send this pic to them Carol! This is beautiful! Excellent BW shot. Not sure if I would have blurred the edges, I might would have darkened with a vignetting maybe! Nice moment caught!
B-)
Linda
