[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
'Tapsa' in English, translates to 'Pagoda Temple'. This unusual temple, is located between the Horse's Ears twin peaks, & has over 80 of these stone towers, that were constructed without mortar, & the rocks dovetail together, similar to the Inca constructions in South America. They've withstood storms, blizzards & typhoons. I'm not entirely happy with the late afernoon light here, (part of the valley is in deep shadow), & feel that a morning shot, would have been better. Maybe in October, when the Fall colours are out?

Hi Chris,
Interesting pile of stones with beautiful background (both the mountains and the buildings). Sharp and claer photo of these cultural treasures, light was really harsh, but it seems that you could handle it quite well. Well done, tFS!
Greetings,
Kristof

Hi Chris,

Great view of the Pagoda Temple!
I like the harmony of colors in this pictures. You could managed the exposure well despite of the noon time sunlight. the colors are well shown and so are the sharpness and the POV. Blue sky gives nice contrast to the golden-yellow colored stone structures standing tall in this valley.
Wonderfully composed shot!

best greetings,
Paras Bhalla

how are you friend?
interesting vertical composition
good highlights
informative notes about the Pagoda, yes you are right the light is bright here but shadows balanced the light

Hi Chris,
Very unique temple. A good POV and your details are very sharp in this. Nice job with the harsh lighting conditions. TFS Julie

Hello Chris,

Again, you have presented us with a picture unlike anything we can have experienced at home, in the west. This is the beauty of such an international site! I really like it for its contrasts in shapes, it fine perspective and its sharp focus.
I agree about the light being harsh but it has not spoilt your shot.

Kind regards,
Bev :-)

grt shot Chris like the tight crop see what you mean bout the light but it takes nothing away from the finished article
tfs regards bryan

Hi Chris,
A busy looking scene due to all the rocks - the colours have come out very naturally here it seems. I agree with what you said in your note about re-shooting this in the morning, the light does look quite harsh at this time. Your POV and composition is good here however.

TFS,
Scott.

Hi Chris,
A most unusual scene but one that is very captivating. I really like the details and textures of those tall spires. Nice light and excellent sharpness and clarity. TFS. Gerald

Hi Chris
The Pagodas are always strange and full of mysteries
This is nice shot, regardless of extra contrast and sharpness, the outcome is great

Aannyeong haseyo ? Jules sunsaeng-nim,

I really like the great view of the unusual temple filled with mysterious stone towers. You show me the wonderful depth of focus and sharpness. Also, in spite of the part of the valley is in deep shadow, I can see the amazing many of details in that part.

탑사(塔寺)의 저 공든 탑들처럼 선생님의 정성이 듬뿍 담긴 사진 감사히 잘 보았습니다.

Many thanks for the sharing and best regards,
