[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
These are the road warriors of Sri Lanka. The three wheel taxis known as “tuk-tuks” are everywhere in the island contributing much to the madness that is on the roads. Traffic on the Sri Lankan roads is absolutely horrendous with very little road discipline. Driving is not for the faint-of-heart in this beautiful island, especially if you have learnt to drive in a western country or spent considerable amount of time outside the country. It is every man (driver) for himself, survival of the fittest.

The picture was taken in the Colombo suburb of Mount Lavinia.

Interesting story and nice photo. Thing is that, somehow, they don't look particularly threatening, nor does the traffic on the road.
Nice sepia conversion, definitely gives an "old time" feel, but for me, that says more peaceful than hectic, as your note implies.
Sorry,
Wilt

Hi Sunil,
I like this shot. The composition is very good, the road leads me through the picture. The detail in this street scene is very nice. The sepia color gives the picture a nice aged look.

Kevin

Hi Sunil

They have these in Dhaka Bangladesh & Jakarta Indonesia, as well. The red sepia tone works well here. Tfs!

Hi Sunil,
Nice subject & POV. You're spot on with your note on the traffic. I notice that this was taken in 2004, you to have a taste of what its like today...2004 would seem very placid:)

Subashini

Hi Sunil,
One of my latest postings concerns Tuc Tucs too. Funny you too present them.
Moody presentation in sepia. Not my taste, but technically okay. Good job done.
greetings,
Joop!

The photo and write-ups are interesting. The choice of sepia makes this more intriquing and strengthens it foreign feel.
