Green, Green Grass of Home
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
This is where I grew up, my parent’s home in Mount Lavinia, Sri Lanka. As I look at this photo, A certain song by Tom Johns from 60s comes to my mind. I remember stepping off the plane at Colombo International Airport, my parents eagerly waiting to see me. Yes it was very good to touch the green, green grass of home…..
The old home town looks the same as I step down from the train,
And there to meet me is my mama and papa.
Down the road I look and there runs Mary, hair of gold and lips like cherries.
It’s good to touch the green, green grass of home. |

Hi Sunil,
Your parents have lovely house with a great garden. I like the colors and lighting of the photo. POV is good. I do feel that the b/g is a little OE.
Regards,
Niek

Hi Sunil
I like the reflected yellow green light on the white ceiling. Good color & pov. Well done!
I remember this song, and I always liked it. It has floated through my mind at various times through the years - just as you describe. :)
A beautiful yard. I really like the feeling that I get from the opened windows - I can imagine the breeze wafting through the house.
Gayle :)
hi Sunil, great picture quality in this one. Also evocative title and notes.
