[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
It was January 2004. This beach on the southern coast of Sri Lanka was so calm and peaceful that day. However, only a few months later the sea would rise up in it full fury, destroying everything in its path..

Good study. Simple and effective.
IMHO frame is to big and too agresive and took some attention from photo.
Regards Darko

Hi Sunil,
Your note puts this photo into a context which makes one think of the powers of nature. That said I must agree with Darko re the frame which is too strong for the subject. I would also suggest that the photo be cropped to move the boy more to the right thereby to slightly change the composition

Hi Sunil,
Very effective angle on your subject. Makes you wonder what his thoughts were, if somehow he had a premonition.
All the best,
Karen

Strong image, with a sad story behind it.
Compo could have been some stronger when the boy was not centrered in the image .... but the stone helps.
Nice colors.
greetings,
Joop!
