Bridge over the River Kwai
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
A view of this historic railway bridge still in use today. Built by the civilians and prisoners of war during WW2 and suffered many a bombardment by allied bombers. Apart from the square sections in the middle this is still the original bridge and the train runs daily to Nam Tok ......a ride to remember
I wanted to set it in sepia but it did not appear nostalgic enough so I adjusted the sky color in Picasa 3
hope you don't mind |

Hi William,
Great to keep the spirit of this historic bridge alive for those who died building it. Great detail and good work on the PP. Cheers

I'm glad you didn't convert this to sepia - that, to me, would be a contrived approach to this shot.
The colours feel raw and "film" quality, the high contrast look is apt to the subject, and your gradient in the sky is well delivered.
I like this shot

Hi William,
Interesting colours in the sky, looks good. Did you tone map this shot? Good POV to capture the bridge, the reflections on the water are a bonus.
TFS,
Scott.
