The Tsunami, 3

| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
She became a widow. And another survivor of the tsunami, which hit Thai shores on 26 December 2004. Her village Ban Thalae Nok was devastated. Now she is part of a cooperative of 19 widows and single mothers from that village making soap to secure a post-tsunami future for themselves and their surviving family members.
They have been supported in their endeavour by North Andaman Tsunami Relief, a non-religious support group founded in the wake of the disaster (www.northandamansupportrelief.com). And by ThaiCraft in Bangkok, where they sell their beautiful soaps at the company's monthly Fairs (www.thaicraft.org). The attached WS photo shows their beautiful products.

Hi Cordelia- very nice and moving portrait/story of this woman- you are really doing a good job of introducing us to the faceless and nameless tsunami surivors and their stories- thank you for that- good close crop and sharp detail on this one! Keep them coming :)
Best wishes
Steve
Hi Cordelia. Another excellent presentation of the tsunami victims. It is amazing how the women have overcome their obstacles. Thank you for sharing.
Hello C
Photo itself is sharp and good, but I M H O to close taken..
to narrow. Still a good shot. Smile from Canada
John
all ok ??
Strong emotional portrait
Hi Cordelia, this looks like a very nice lady, although I do think it's too close-up. The closeness makes me look at her skin and her teeth too much.
I did a little workshop for you and found that softening and adding grain really helps. Hope you will like it!
Thanks for sharing!
