OK, deep breath here! Wasn't going to post again while on holiday due to calibration issues, but i've never been good at resisting temptation :-)

This was snapped yesterday while we were waiting for the rain to pass - Hannah was a willing model while daddy messed about with his camera. Shot at ISO 1600 to get some noise and atmosphere - I wanted a semi-ghostly look to the shot. Hannah was hiding behind the curtains, looking out at the rain. I managed to get her to stay there while I got my gear together. We had quite a little photo session and the wee lass even came out with "no daddy, i think it would look better if I put my hand like this..."! She's starting to become a little diva :-)

VEry little pp - shot in RAW, converted to JPEG and some slight fiddling with RGB levels, then resized. Think that's about it...I did think about cropping but I left as is, because I think it shows the scale, highlights she is just a wee girl.

I kinda like it ... not ghostly in my opinion, but sweet. I'm not sure what effect you wanted to achieve in your uncalibrated laptop, but the low light levels here really seem to work for this.
Nice work, Hannah!
Rew

Richard you captured a quality mood hin this posting. I hope Hannah was able to get outside part of the day.

Well done
Dan

I love this photo. It is sweet, tender, mystic, full of mystery. Would you allow me to copy it as a theme for one of my paintings? I am willing to pay for your permission. Please let me know.

I agree with Rew ,

Not ghosty but cutie (^_^). I like the monochrome here. It works very well to create the ambiance.
Bravo!
Robert

the veil and silhouette looks great

I think the hand of your daughter give THE spirit of this picture, without it i would less powerful. I like the light of this picture too.

Hi Richard,
Very nice photo. The contrast is very good and the colour hue work very well. The effect of the curtain with the bright sky gives it a sad dreamy mood, and the black walls "close" the light very well. Your daughter is a fantastic model :)
Sorry, but I've to theme it.
Regards,
Aida

I like this one even more :)
Beautiful framing and interesting tone of the picture. Nice soft lighting, and what I like the most in this photo is - your daughter's hand put on the window:))) Small thing but very emotional for me.
Thanks for sharing,
Izabela

In a word....lovely!
Michael
