Hello again,
I like this shot so much, because it was so lovely at Lop Buri. This old monastary is famous because of its monkeys. Hundreds of them are living there. And they are not shy.
I wanted to make a shot of the buddha, suddenly that little monkey came up in front of me and looked so curious into my camera.
This way I like the shot even more thank only shooting this buddha without life :-)
Hope you also think so. Bye.

Thanks for all your wonderful critiques.
So many like to see the original - I have a similar shot on TrekEarth, if you are interested look here.

the title and the image made me laugh!!! Not to keen on the 'effects' but that is just my personal taste, so, thanx, M, (*_*)

Very nice. I wonder if it would look nicer to have some color on the monkey, too (brown). I don't know if you have the PP software to do it, though.

hey. this seems to be a nice shot. im not a fan of effects either, so could u post the original version of it?

Great composition, funny and good Post processing work.
Thanks for sharing.
Michael.

The first Tele Tubby monkey. Love it. Very nicely done

Lol! Laughed your title a lot! Sabine its a great capture. I only dont like much the effect. Wish to see it into a natural way. But its really has a great composition and perfect timing to capturing this.

Oh how cute Sabine! Twin haircuts! And I like your filter very much on this scene. Well spotted and well done!
Janice

Hi Sabine,
the shot is good for me but I don't think the PP works... I would have like to see without (maybe in the workshop?)
Anyway the photo is good and I like the compo : )
Hope you don't mind

It's like a cartoonmovie on a big flatscreen you see nowadays in the shops. Cute! I like the nearby monkey; indeed a mood of sudden presents; great moment.
Thanks Wishnu
Huub

Hi Wishnu,

The monkey just popped up at the right time, the buddha and the monkey both have the same head shape too :) I like the PP effect. Well done

John

What an interesting picture,Sabine! So cute and so funny! Yes I am sure that they have the same hairdresser! Very good pp work done here! You are,as always, original and creative in your work! Well thought and of course well done! Michel

Hi Sabine...
Funny one! Nice composition, but I don't fancy the effect that much... maybe if you'd apply to all but the monkey?
Pleasant colours!
Regards,
Pablo -

so funy ;o) And artwork is done so well...Thanks for sharing!

He who is without sin may cast the first stone - or words to that effect.
I have been fooling with strange PP lately and receiving good and bad reviews. So, I'm not going to comment on the applied effect at all. Others will be divided, of course, on whether it was a good idea or not.
So - content, compo, etc: Yes, well snatched at the right moment and well observed re the similarity in hairstyling.
I'm not sure. though, that this IS a monkey at all - I haven't seen Grandad around the house lately.

Hi Wishnu

I recently read an article that claimed human beings share 99% of their dna with chimpanzees, so maybe the title is not so far fetched after all? I like the juxtapositioning of the Buddha & the monkey. Well seen.

funny shot... :-)

very cute image Wishnu :)
funny title :P
you composed it well to hav the buddha behind the monkey
i like the PP, but find it a little over done, would love to see more details for this shot...still an excellent photo

Hi Wishnu,

Excellent shot. I would actually like to have seen the original, only in black and white with the coloured statue in the background. It's actually very nice. good composition, I don't know where to look, the monkey or the statue. Very nice!

Regards
Conrad

Hello Sabine.
This is a very nice shot. I like your PP because I think it's ok in this work. I love the composition and the monkey's curious look! You made a great capture.
