Sunset in Sukhothai, the old Siamese capital before Ayutthaya ((13th-15th C)). The ruins of the old city are silhouetted against the setting sun. I liked the backlighting on the backs of the cattle here.

Hi.
Great photo of the moment with a very nice composition. The lightning is great too.
Well done.
Thanks for shearing

hi Chris, i love this! the lighting and background come together to give it a feeling of legends, myths and also surreality. my compliments!

Hi Chris,

Great photo!
I like the sun lighting! It gives a wonderful look to the sky and the dark silhouettes on the background look fantastic. The cows (despite the low lighting) are very sharp in their details.
Well done!

Chris,
nice light here, the first cow really look like a leader:-)
the white line is helping them to walk on a straight line, great fun:-)
regards

I also love backlighting, Chris, do the cows just roam wild there? Love the flower clump, M, (*_*)

Looking at your pics makes me feel like i travel everyday! Thanks for this one - Caroline

Bovine Sobriety Test and only one is getting it right.
What an odd subject - wandering cows in a sunset of sorts in front of a ruined town hall of ancient origin, all coming together for quite a surreal scene.
How did you get the lighting on the cows' underside?
Manila Jury confers, ask me what that cardboard cut-out on the right is all about and I cannot answer them. They finally break the huddle and show me 8.222/10, with asides of 'Weirdnesssss!'

Hi Chris,
Lovely composition and colour. The subject is interesting but one does not know where to concentrate. Is it the old ruins or is it the cows? I suppose in a way it is good, 'cause it leaves the question for the viewer to find the answer.

Hi Chris,
Very nice and beautiful photo. You have caught the critical moment when the cattles went pass the riuns in such beautiful backlighting. Did you use a flash?

Hi Chris,
Did you use a flits here?
Looks a bit strange and beautyful at the same time
Ruud

I was look at it attentively wondering... Why i see them with a feeling they are like having 2 dimension like a panel representing cow... I believe it's the sun... The line of light we see at the curve of the back give me that funny illusion! It's surreal! I like that with tower of stone behind...
