Good shot! You've taken a slightly unusual approach here, and I think it's paid off nicely. There's plenty of fur detail, and the exposure is good too IMO. I'm wondering whether a little more DOF might have made things slightly better, and similarly I'm wondering whether a little flash could have been used to give a catchlight in his eye - but those are only minor suggestions really. Nicely captured, and a good note too :-D

Excellent work, Sohrab!
It reminds me a bit of one of my cats.
;-D

Excelent detail Sohrab! Love the crop you made...if that eye was looking at us would be a terrific image :)

Very cool Sohrab...Nice poem to go along with this beautiful "kitty" :) The tiger's fur doesn't look at soft as I have imagined it would be...Wait a minute, did you use the blur tool on this? ;D I can't wait to see your images from this place once you become a volunteer. Keep up the wonderful work

This is beautiful, you've captured this tiger in a very soft and sweet way, good colours, a very nice shot, have a look at Derek's too...

Unusual crop but as adrian says it's paid off. Filling the frame like this really conveys the presence of the tiger, with the stare quite cold. Well done.

I love it when a photographer has the courage to move so close to the subject that he begins to show the essence of it rather than just the structure. Mind you, I can't do it myself - but then I'm no artist - and this really requires the artistic approach. Absolutely lovely shot - and very fitting as illustration to the poem.

Beautiful expression of the animal in a full frame - just lovely in every details.

Beautiful, Sohrab. A different approach, as Adrian has said. I like the beautiful pattern and colours on its cheeks. TFS.
I think the frame is a bit thick, though.

Very ice picture Sohrab, very nice colors, abstract!
Best regards
Guy

i loveee tigers

So many colors and textures, great fur! I love tigers. At the Bangkok zoo, one came within a foot of me several times. I had no memory, and do not know how to delete.....Where is this place?

A lovely and deep portrait!
You did a fantastic cropping job, Sohrab!
TFS it

Fantastic pov and colors. I love the texture of the fur as well. AS mnetioned something to give a little more dof would have made the shot better, but rally, your pov and cropping worked out really well anyways. TFS!
