Nature's never-ending marvels - this is one of them. Unlike waterlilies, lotuses grow way out of the water, reaching a height of up to 1 meter.

i saw this plant growing on Nile.s water years ago... it gives me good thinkings je je Nice Cordelia.

So beautiful, in colours, shapes and sharpness. The composition and cropping is just great here Cordelia. The background colour is just perfect agains the petal colour. Love it!

Your notes are very helpful: I always wondered about the difference. What I like about this is its off-centre composition as well as the colours and the stunningly sharp details. Great POV and DOF.
