I'm surprised! I never saw a concentration of bee like that. But if i could try to be logic. Perhaps... As you say, it was after rain and the shape of that flower, is lige a bowl. It recolt a part of the rain and the nectar will be diluate... But it's perfume stay even if diluate... So they arrive and saw a quantity...
It's bar open lol!
