A Paduang Karen refugee woman from Burma tends to her daily work activities in Ban Nai Soi, Thailand.
This village is partly sustained by the residents selling some of their own hand made fabric to tourists who stop by after arriving by mini van from Mae Hong Son...about 18 kilometers away.
The ladies weave this fabric not only for the tourists however, as they also cloth themselves with their hand made goods.
This machine is operated by hand as to my knowledge, there is no power in the village. |
