Hi Richard - I like both versions, though the BW one is more effective b/c there are no colours to distract the eye. One gets a good feel of the power of the elements here. Well done! - Cordelia :) :)

Hello Richard,
This is fantastic view from Fish Eye lense. Parabolic horrizon is looking fantastic here along with cloud pattern in the monochrome. Such a fine presentation my friend, well done.
Many thanks for sharing this image.

NICE POV Richard! I'll take a look at the color version also! I love fisheye lenses, they can add so much depth to the shot! Hope you didn't get wet!....most of all, hope the CAMERA didn't get wet! The clouds are a nice addition!
Linda
B-)
PS...I think I like the color version better.....I think color in this instance adds even MORE depth!

Great tones here Richard.
The water and POV looks very dramatic, and the picture has great details.

Hi Richard,
You've got a really impressive atmosphere, I'd say, almost scary view of a beach...The wide-able and B&W works really well... Regards, Marta

Nice! Very dramatic capture, with excellent use of the wide angle.
Your metering here is superb, nothing blown-out or overexposed, nothing underexposed either!
B&W was the right choice, the colour version is nice but doesn't have the same impact: black and white draws attention to shapes and patterns, and in this shot they're very strikingly delivered.
Well done!

This is great, excellent use of the fisheye, the way the water curves all the way to the foreground like that gives it a feeling of standing there and almost getting wet. I like the tones in this, you've handled the conversion very well. Hope you dont mind but after the comments you put on my last image I thought I would do a little workshop using the techniques i explained in my reply to that, it has'nt worked as well as i'd hoped simply because you'd already converted this b&w. Anyway it's slightly more bold, so hope you like it!

Richard first off I much prefer the B&W version overthe color. About the fisheye - I don't have any comments. Sont have one and not sure what I would do with one. Have a wide angel 12-24, it seems enough.
Having said that I like what you have captured here - I have impression that the surf in about to tough my toes.
Sorry I can't be more helpful

Nice B/W 180 degree beach landscape. The fisheye is definitely something I would like to add to my repertoire. They are expensive but necessary for nice landscape shots such as yours.
Best regards,
Rob

WOW Richard I love the coloured version in the workshop... what a lovely place!..sure looks beautiful...so I prefer that one, as Im into coloured shots.
Never used a Fish-Eye Lens, I think it would be a lens that you would use for a short time, and then get sick of looking at its effect all the time...but it certainly produces an eyecatching image.
Tops marks from me for this one anyway.
Thanks for sharing
Cheers
Dawn.

Original view with your fisheye lens (i want to get one too!) but mainly orginal conversion in B&W for the classical and pardisaic blue beach!

A very beautiful picture! I like your patience to wait for a single "white caps" to roll on the shore. Your PP work on the B&W tonal values very well done.
Thank you for your comments on my photo, "Petra" I appreciate it.

Hi Richard
Good work from cradle to the grave ... Photo composition, tool effect (very wide angle), Post process , color changing..
Very good view, congratulations.
Hakki
P.S. I wonder that you use Canon EOS 400D 5D, 5D is full frame it is OK by fish-eye ,but 400D's crop factor is X1.5 while taking photos, is this impacts of fish*eye looks of 400D ??
Hello Richard,
I love the lens effect...It really looks like the wave is coming at you.
