OK, messing about a little here...opened the lens up which seems to encourage the vignetting and tried to catch a feeling of the approaching storm.

The wee lassies are in the kids club this morning and Mrs A is getting pummelled in the spa - I was supposed to get a morning roaming about, taking snaps. But the best laid plans etc etc...a rainstorm hit us. Grrr! So caught a couple of shots then retreated to the room. Caught this shot before the retreat, though.

Aside from converting to b/w and fiddling slightly with contrast/brightness, the image is untouched aside from RAW/JPEG conversion and resizing. No Cropping. Again, i expect the brightness to be a little screwed due to the laptop calibration so you will see something different from me...!

Rain seems to be easing, so i'm off out again...have 45 minutes of freedom left :-)

*** AARRRGHHH...just noticed i posted the wrong version...the horizon is slightly tilted...sorry! But it is posted so it stays...damn

Well, if you hadn't say something about the horizon I wouldn't had notice anything wrong with this image. But, is the horizon tilted because of your hand or because of the angle you used to take this shot? The waves seem very straight to me so really the horizon is not bad at all. Nice composition and the black and white works very well to create a stormy effect. Nice job Richard.

Roberto

the white really jumps off the monitor - using the B&W kicks up the mood you are trying to present - that's a good thing. not sure I like the whites.

Dan

Another Superb shot, like Big Green said, a little OE on the waves, but I like the "mood" here. It's a little spooky! Very lonely, very much like a horror movie! "Waves of Death" HAHAHA!

Hi Richard,

Wrong image posted? That doesn't really make tour day, it happend me twice.
Impressive picture of this dramatic looking scene, the tillt of the horzon is minor and not really disturbing for me. I like the contrast in this image. Although the foam on the waves tops are OE, I can't see details in it and that's a pity. Nevertheless overall a fine posting my friend. Take care in Thailand.

A very dramatic picture, the white fume on the waves making the whole scene perfect.
Good job Richard!

This is impressive Richard,
I'm wishing you also posted the colour version - if there was one, perhaps as a WS or something.

Best regards, Daniel
