Sunset over the Andaman sea, taken a couple of nights ago.

"The Andaman Sea is a body of water to the southeast of the Bay of Bengal, south of Myanmar, west of Thailand and east of the Andaman Islands; it is part of the Indian Ocean. It is roughly 1200 kilometres long (north-south) and 650 kilometres wide (east-west), with an area of 797,700 kmē. Its average depth is 870 meters, and the maximum depth is 3,777 meters.

At its southeastern reaches, the Andaman Sea narrows to form the Straits of Malacca, which separate the Malay Peninsula from the island of Sumatra."

Beautifully composed! That textbook composition is the first thing that struck me, very polished. :) The metering and colours here are excellent too, just right in both respects, with excellent sharpness and a beautifully smooth gradient.

The vegitation makes a perfect frame for the sky you have captured. Nice POV and thanks for the interesting information.

Hi Richard,
If you are showing children then you got my attention - if you are showing palmtrees in the sunset, then you are equally sure.
Lovely colours and a very neat image (I only got the demo version - but I think I have to use it as well as soon as my camera is back).
