Shot in the same session as Please Stop The Rain.

We had an afternoon in the room - Wee Jess was sleeping, Mrs Arab was reading and WHB agreed to be my model for a wee while. Wasn't too much to snap in the room so we had a bash at this kinda thing. Was trying to capture the boredom of a child, wanting to go out and play...but the rain stopping those plans...

Shot in RAW, b/w conversion, sepia toned, RGB adjustment, cropped, resized, sharpened.

Looking at rain through the window, gives a mellow-romantic feeling. That's why I really love you go to sephia tone with this one, as it is set that mood perfectly

Yan

How evocative! That kind of light tissue please me for the mood, the dream for a sunny day... Children have not the notion of time... It's long to wait the sun! The sepia ad to the nostalgic feeling of it! congratulations to catch it :)
Who never look at a drop... falling... slowly slide on a window?

Hello Richard,

Lovely picture! Very emotive, very moody.
Nice framing. Great details - the droplets visible on the window are very effective.
Nice sepia tone, too.
Good job!
Best,
Izabela

Hi Richard...
I think this shot / PP works better then the 1st... I love that we can see more of the rain on the window and her totally bored pose! Hope you let her play in the puddles when the rain stopped!;)

This is wonderful, too, but I think that I like the first one more.
Don't ask my why !
Maybe more dark areas, maybe the tones.

Oh I really like this Richard! The sepia is perfect for this type of shot! Excellent shot keeping the light soft and not blasting the outside light! My first thought was the song, "Who'll Stop the Rain" from CCR. Very nice!

This is a wonderful soft, mellow image. Your composition and use of the sepia tone enhance the mood. This is a very appealing image. TFS
