Thais like it sweet. Here, a snack/desert is being prepared: sticky rice with black beans and palm sugar. It is cooked in bamboo canes stuck in the ground between rows of fire from dry coconut shells. When finished and cooled off the canes get sold at markets and in the streets. To eat the rice one must break the canes open. It is d e l i c i o u s!

A wonderful idea, Cordelia!
I like the tight crop and the nicely saturated colours here. The heat haze in front of the bamboo canes really adds to the sensation of heat.
Excellent work

Many thanks for your comment on ‘Fire – Swirling Clouds’

I think I prefer to cook on my oven, even I am sure that is delicious, as you say. Very interesting and different way of cooking and a great composition for the Fire Theme. It sure looks v e r y hot. Great colors, specially on the flames and the burning pieces of wood. TFS
