Hello TL-friends ...

I think this will be the last post for the next weeks ... At friday I'm going to holidays - to Thailand again ...

There I will celebrate my 40th birthday at the 8th of April
- escaping from the birthday-trouble -
just enjoying this day in Bangkok, that's what I want ...
A nice dinner-cruise on the Chao-Prya in the evening, seeing all the temples there enlighted, that's what I call a perfect day ;-)

So I thought this shot would be nice for the last one before starting into holidays on Friday.
And it was made exactly at my last birthday - the last with a 3 leading the number ;-)

You can see the the Marble Temple / Wat Benchamabophit here. The original shot is in the WS.

You also have the chance to see this on the back of the 5-baht coin.
In 1898, King Rama V ordered the construction of Dusit Palace, the first royal palace outside the city walls. The old Dusit temple and another deserted temple on the palace grounds were dismantled. The new temple was designed by Prince Naris, the famous artist and half-brother of King Rama V. The temple was built using white Carrara marble imported from Italy – hence its tourist name, the Marble Temple. The original name, Wat Benchamabopit means The Temple of the Fifth Great Monarch, which was King Chulalongkorn, Rama V.

Greetings to you all ...
Sabine

Have a good and safe holiday.

ps. At thursday, my relatives from Schwaighausen are comming to us.
Weather forcast is excellent, so the Keukenhop is on 'the list' too.

Hi Wishnu & happy belated birthday!

Good sharpness & interesting pp work with the marble Temple now appearing to have an aura! Superb sharpness, colour & saturation. Greetings from Korea! The cherry blossum is out, & the sun is shining. I should grab some shots!

Hi Wishu,
That is some interesting filter you are using there.
Looks good.

Hello Sabine! As I can see you also experimented with the Redfield Fractalius. The results are sometimes really spectacular and the proof is here with this beautiful temple.Great colors, very nice composition, beautiful pp work.TFS

Hi Sabine,

the original in the workshop is already great.
But the treatment with Redfield's Fractalius (I guess) makes it really top.

TFS :)
