I met the woman on a Saturday, market day, when she’s on the way to market.
In mountainous areas of VN, like Ha Giang, people go to market site not everyday ; just once a week or few days a week, the other day market sites are left vacant. Going to market is a lovelything. It’s not to sell or to buy things they need, more important it’s a chance they surf around, come together, meeting people, chatting, then say goodbye to eachother and come back home, which can be a mountain far away each other. And they don’t forget to make an appointment for next market day.
the woman belongs to Dzao group (about 96,000 ), among other 21 monitities groups in Hagiang. A Dzao women would pull away all her eyebrows, to her it’s beautiful.
Talked to her, i learn that she’s 44 with 4 children, unbelievable though I know she’s not lying to me. Hard life. |

Very good composition of the photo, the woman has a natural expression, I like it. The note is also an interesting idea of the life of Dzao people.
