another great shot, transpiring the morning calm, when you still have some fresh air, silence apart from the hens and cockledoos singing, and still water. the world is still asleep, but not for long anymore;-)) I like the way the surroundings are overexposeed to let only the boat come out;-) congrats, manny
Ps: you should check out a new member of TE :sohrab. extraordinary b&w shots...
PS2: How do you manage to include a link with previous pics like you just did here?

Oh...I have been looking forward to se some of your pictures from this trip Manny :) And...I'm impressed by you too. Taken between 6:00 to 7:00...when did you get up? At that time, i'm still half a sleep, as you already know ;). The simplicity here is really nice. It's a very calm picture. Mabye you could clone away the litle dark thing to the right in the picture, to keep it clean.

Le titre va bien avec l'image, l'impression de solitude est tres bien rendu. bon travail.

Reminds me very much of Philip Coggan's dream boat. Not the same dream not the same focusing but it's on the same surreal moody feel.
It's in fact distinctive from the image you've posted in TE : a completely different mood IMHO, aerial here, almost as depressive as a working monday morning in TE.

Wonderfully done, Manny! I like the high-key approach you chose -- the mistiness really makes this very serene . This is really a stunning image. Your composition is pretty damned near perfect, too! Thanks for this!

Great one, Manny. I like how you kept a big amount of water in your composition, and are showing the boat in the upper left corner as the major point of interest, color and detail. Fine reflection, too. Just fabulous.

Excellent composition, Manuel. You have positioned the the boat perfectly in the frame. I like the reflection and the clothes hanging from the line. Well done.

This is really good, Manny. The negative space works very well. The position of the boat in the upper left hand corner is perfect. As Luko said, reminds me of the "Dreamboat" shot by Philip Coggan on TE. Excellent work!

Very well done. It looks like a composite from a few photos. Very natural though and I like the over exposure.

C'est parfait pour moi. J'adore les thèmes comme celui ci, solitude, calme et esthétiquement irréprochable. quand le ciel se confond avec la mer, on se sait plus si la barque flotte ou vole. C'est très très beau.

I didn't ever had a chance to visit Vietnam, but what I imagine of asian cities is in perfect oposition with this very peaceful picture ! One word comes out of my lips while watching it is "serenity". The colours are minimalistic (to me it's a compliment!) just like a couple of words in a japanese "haïku". Black and white gieva very profound density to the water, and the atmosphere. I like it !

hey Manuel!
I think its hard not to love the photographs you post. your an inspirational artist.
the background, allows for the centre of focus, to be on the boat in itself. although the darker features are visible in the light background, the foreground is what catches the eye.
it truely captures the simplicity of the boat. the serenity and the surrealist feeling.
if monet was still alive today, i'd imagine he'd paint something like this!
