Journey into the night
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
| A few drops of rain, herald the downpour soon to come. Emma, a local fisherwoman, and rower of tourists, has taken me into the night, to her home across the dark wide Sapa river. She had managed after years of scrimping and saving to buy a home from a relative. She has brought me to her house, to feed me a Vietnamese traditional meal. I have eaten Vietnamese food often in the USA. It is one of my absolute favorite foods, always delicious, and true to it's origins. BUT in Vietnam, the food is even better, fresh, perfectly made, some of the best in the world! Her family is very nice. I think Vietnamese people are happy to just be alive, to not have war, after hundreds of years of war. |

Hi gloria
Good lead in lines from the sides of the boat & well managed lighting with flash. Excellent sharpness & tonal range. Tfs!
Attention gathering image with a wonderful story in accompanyment. It brings back my memories of Korea as far as the food and the friendliness of the people.
This works well as a B&W. It keeps colors from speaking when you don't want them to. Well done.
TFS!
Reid
